About Sheridan
Founded in 1967, Sheridan has grown from a local college of 400 students to one of Ontario’s leading postsecondary institutions, educating approximately 40,000 students every year on three campuses in three Ontario cities — Oakville, Brampton and Mississauga.
An award-winning institution, Sheridan attracts students from across Canada and around the world. Sheridan’s 220,000+ alumni play a critical role in shaping the future of our society in the fields of arts, business, community service, health, technology, and the skilled trades.
Jack Kukolic, a 21-year-old Toronto filmmaker in his fourth year of Film and Television at Sheridan College, directed and produced a short documentary called "Terry's Little Village" which is receiving attention from several American film festivals. The documentary is about a lifelong resident of Meadowvale Village in Ontario's first heritage district.
Brampton resident and Sheridan College alumni Puneet Johal is among the winners of the 2024 International Alumni of Impact awards, which celebrates the impact that international students have made in their local communities across Canada.
