Whether you are considering Sheridan or returning for another semester, finding a place to live is an important step for many students. If you are a current Sheridan student, please visit the Housing page on your student portal, Sheridan Central, for more resources.
Our Housing team provides the following services:

Partnerships
Sheridan has two partnerships to provide students with safe and affordable off-campus housing options.
Places4Students
Places4Students is an easy-to-use and safe housing database with postings organized by campus. For safety and security, the listings on the platform are screened.

Information for landlords
If you're a landlord looking to post your listing for students, Places4Students is a great place to start:

The Places4Students platform provides many tools to help your listing stand out, such as Google Maps, a live up-to-date database, descriptive listings with photos, floor plans and amenities logos, as well as customer service support if you need help.

Canada Homestay Network
When you choose a homestay with Canada Homestay Network, you become a part of the family you live with and the community. Canada Homestay Network hosts, who are carefully screened and receive special health and safety training, are committed to including you in conversations, meals, and excursions. If you are an international student, you will be immersed in Canadian culture and receive many opportunities to practice your English.

Registered dwellings
Many students live in a second-unit dwellings due to their affordability, but it’s important to ensure they are legal before you move in. A second-unit dwelling (often a basement apartment) is a self-contained unit with cooking, sleeping, and bathroom facilities located within a townhouse, semi-detached, or detached home.
Depending on where you live, a second-unit dwelling may be required to be registered with your city by your landlord. Brampton and Mississauga require second unit dwellings to be registered. A registered second unit ensures your place is safe, legal, and livable. It must comply with the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, and Zoning By-Law.
