Celebrating young people in Sheridan communities with National Youth Week programming
Sheridan is offering a variety of events and workshops in celebration of National Youth Week from May 1-7, geared to inspire young people and recognize their potential in shaping a brighter future. These events will focus on career development, navigating job interviews, exploring our campuses and engaging with our talented varsity student-athletes.
Sheridan is partnering with our local municipalities — the City of Brampton, the City of Mississauga and the Town of Oakville — in support of their National Youth Week celebrations and festivities. Young people ages 10-24 are invited to participate in various free activities throughout the week.
“Youth are an asset to our communities and have the potential to create meaningful change as we collectively navigate ongoing complex times. Sheridan is thrilled to work with our local municipalities to celebrate youth and contribute to the plans for National Youth Week,” says Dr. Janet Morrison, President and Vice Chancellor at Sheridan.
Sheridan has built strong partnerships with youth-serving organizations and our local municipalities across Halton and Peel regions to intentionally forge pathways to postsecondary education opportunities through its Youth Amplified suite of programs and partnerships.
