Miranda has been teaching full-time at Sheridan in the Interior Design program since 2005. She was Program Coordinator of the Interior Design Diploma program from 2007-2010.
Miranda has a Master in Interior Design (professional stream) from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (pre-professional Architecture) from the University of Waterloo. She has been awarded a National Institute for Staff Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award, Professional Interior Designers of Manitoba Medal, Professional Interior Designers Institute of Manitoba Master of Interior Design Practicum Prize and the David Jenkins Memorial Award.
Miranda is NCIDQ certified and has worked in interior design and architectural firms across Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia in the health care, corporate, commercial and hospitality sectors. She also worked at a design-build company that focussed entirely on residential design. Miranda also worked as an independent consultant working with an Engineering firm on commercial projects.
Miranda is also proud to have achieved her Gold Medal with the Western Ontario Conservatory of Ballet.
Teaching Interests
- Miranda is immensely passionate about teaching and interior design. She believes good design is inclusive, meaningful and thoroughly incorporated into every detail. Miranda has taught courses in the Interiors, Detailing, Digital Communication and Professional Practices streams.
