Carin McLean joined Sheridan in 2009 as a part-time professor in the Child and Youth Worker program and has gone on to teach a range of courses across the Social Service Worker and Child and Youth Worker Programs.  Carin has over 18 years of experience working in the children’s mental health and addictions sector.  Before joining Sheridan, Carin was part of the Child, Youth and Family management team at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.   She managed the Youth Outreach Service Program aimed at preventing and reducing harms associated with substance use among youth.  Carin holds a Bachelors degree in psychology from McMaster University, a post-graduate diploma in Child Assessment and Counselling from the Institute of Child Study, University of Toronto and a Masters degree in Education, from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE/UT).
