Zohreh Motamedi joined the Sheridan community as a professor in 2009. She received her PhD in electrical engineering from Concordia University, where she was a research assistant in the Wireless and Satellite Communications Lab. She has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Iran University of Science & Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Shiraz University.

Before pursuing her PhD, Zohreh worked for several years as an electrical design engineer at the Information and Communication Technology Institute in Iran. In the summer of 2011, she was a visiting professor at Intel Corporation in Oregon, United States, where she worked with the Radio Integration Research group for two months.

At Sheridan, Zohreh teaches a variety of courses, mainly focusing on electronics and communication systems. Apart from delivering classes, she has also been active in curriculum development and applied research.
