Unleash your creativity and connect with fellow alumni

Join us for a free virtual event (Zoom) featuring Sheridan alumna Angelica Candido (Early Childhood Education, ‘16), a talented artist and author. Angelica will guide you through an interactive session focused on self-expression and personal reflection through creative activities.

This session will offer you the chance to:

  • Discover how creativity can support mental well-being.
  • Participate in a guided writing and drawing exercise for personal reflection.
  • Engage in a dynamic Q&A with Angelica.
  • Explore ways to integrate creativity into your life and access mental health resources. 

One lucky attendee will also win a copy of Angelica’s book, Interconnectedness: A Collection of Poetry and Art! The winner will be selected during the event.

Meet your presenter: Angelica Candido

Sheridan alumna Angelica Candido

Sheridan alumna Angelica Candido (Early Childhood Education, ‘16) is a Brampton-based artist and author who creates artworks and poetry inspired by her surroundings, emotions and dreams. In addition to her visual art, Candido is the author of Interconnectedness: A Collection of Poetry and Art, a heartfelt anthology of poetry and reflections that explore themes of connection, resilience and shared human experiences. Candido has been featured at the Clark Centre for the Arts, Dignam Gallery, Ada Slaight Gallery, The Rose Theatre and The Polyglot Magazine. She was a finalist in the 100 Kellogg Art Competition and Gallery 35 Live Painting Competition. Candido has received grants and support from Ontario Arts Council and the Brampton Entrepreneurship Centre. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in drawing and painting from OCAD University.
