Sheridan Business Analysis and Process Management graduates granted advanced standing towards supply chain designation
Sheridan’s Pilon School of Business (PSB) has once again partnered with Supply Chain Canada to provide students with a more efficient path towards earning one of the supply chain industry’s most sought-after professional designations.
Graduates of Sheridan’s Business Analysis and Process Management one-year postgraduate certificate program will be granted with advanced standing towards the Supply Chain Management Professional™ (SCMP™) Designation, a credential that can increase their employability, earning power and advancement opportunities. PSB and Supply Chain Canada announced a similar partnership last fall for graduates of Sheridan’s Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) — Supply Chain Management degree program
“I am extremely proud that our Business Analysis and Process Management postgraduate certificate program meets the stringent standards to partner with Supply Chain Canada,” says Keith Barnwell, Associate Dean of Pilon School of Business. “This agreement will provide graduates of our program with a unique value-added proposition that will help them secure a competitive advantage with employers.”
Sheridan’s Business Analysis and Process Management graduate certificate program teaches in-demand skills to help employers improve operational efficiency. Accredited by the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA), the program focuses on manufacturing, supply chain, financial services and health care industries in both the public and private sectors. Students apply their skills through practical case studies in a structured learning environment, an industry project that addresses a real business problem for a client company, and an optional co-op work term.
Supply Chain Canada is the voice of Canada’s supply chain, representing and serving more than 7,500 professionals across the country as well as the wider supply chain community. Its SCMP™ Designation program includes eight modules on strategic supply chain management knowledge, six interactive workshops on high-level business skills, evaluation, a leadership residency, a final examination, and monitoring of learning outcomes. According to the 2021 Canadian Supply Chain Salary Report, those who had their SCMP™ Designation earned 22% more than those who did not have any certifications.
“Providing pathways into Canada’s most sought-after supply chain designation has become a must-have as students and career professionals seek out the most advantageous programs to help them stand out in the competitive search for supply chain talent,” says Pat Campbell, Supply Chain Canada’s Vice-President, Strategic Initiatives. “Our agreements with Sheridan provide their students with this advantage.”
