Mark Kurdi

In memoriam

Sheridan mourns the loss of Mark Kurdi and has established a student award in his honour. Mark was an integral part of the School of Architectural Technology within FAST from 1991 as a full-time faculty member specializing in AutoCAD, Revit and advanced technologies. He was the leading force behind Sheridan's early adoption of internet technologies, coding, servers, and online portfolios for our graduates. As a long-time Autodesk tester and developer, Mark won the award for the ‘Top Instructor of the Americas’ for his work with the CAD/CAM institute on more than one occasion and was instrumental in the early days of debugging CAD software.

As a professor and colleague, Mark was always a positive influence on those around him with his warm sense of humour and joy of teaching. To honour his memory and his commitment to helping others  we are pleased to establish an award to support an Architectural Technology student with the same passion for learning and technology as Mark.
