Two students in conversation

Michael Dancziger

In memoriam

Sheridan mourns the loss of Professor Michael Dancziger and has established a student award in his honour.

Michael was a valuable part of Sheridan's Faculty of Applied Science and Technology. He worked as a Professor, Program Coordinator and Academic Adviser to chemistry students at the Davis Campus. He taught subjects including general and analytical chemistry, mathematics, physics and electricity.

Michael's gift was his ability to teach minds, young and old. Whether in elementary school with Scientists in Schools, or with the students at Sheridan College, his patience with challenging topics, and willingness to explore every possible avenue to explain a concept was his calling card. His students loved him, and he was truly passionate about teaching.

To honour his memory and his commitment to science and education, we are pleased to establish an award to support students in the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology.
