Better Jobs Ontario Application Process for Full-time and Micro-credential Programs
The Better Jobs Ontario program strives to help people rejoin the workforce as quickly as possible.
The initiative allows you to join a training program that takes 52 weeks (one year) or less to complete — this includes Sheridan's full-time Certificate and Ontario College Graduate Certificate programs, as well as micro-credential programs offered through Sheridan's Continuing and Professional Studies.
The Better Jobs Ontario initiative requires two separate applications:
- A Better Jobs Ontario FUNDING application completed with an Employment Consultant.
- A COLLEGE application resulting in a Confirmation of Acceptance letter (for full-time programs) or a Letter of Intent (for micro-credential programs). The applicant is responsible for providing this documentation to the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.
Better Jobs Ontario FUNDING application
Employment Ontario requires you to attend a mandatory government information session, which covers the funding portion of Better Jobs Ontario. Visit the Better Jobs Ontario government website for general information about the initiative.
