Since earning a Graphic Arts diploma at George Brown College, Eva-Marie MacNeil (Folk) has worked as a Graphic Designer / Art Director in the advertising and publishing fields, along with running a freelance business with a concentration on graphic design and photography. Eva began as an Assembly Artist at Saffer, Cravit & Freeman advertising agency, then moved on to become a Graphic Artist at Scholastic Canada and an Art Director at National Shopping Centre Promotions. Eva then spent almost twelve years as Advertising Art Director at WeddingBells magazine, for both Canadian and American editions consecutively. Eva’s areas of expertise involve creative concept, design and production of advertisements, advertorials, websites and promotional materials, along with art direction of fashion and tableware/housewares photo shoots and digital retouching.
Eva holds a diploma in Graphic Arts, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and a Masters of Science degree in Adolescence Education and began teaching at Sheridan College in 2008. At Sheridan, Eva has taught in several programs including Journalism, Media Fundamentals, Bachelor of Photography, Bachelor of Crafts & Design, Corporate Communications and Media for Global Professionals. She is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing.
